Madison Children’s Museum
The Madison Children’s Museum is designed for ages birth to 12. It has a wide variety of exhibits on various topics including the arts, sciences, history, culture, health, and civic engagement.

Hours: 9 am–4 pm, Thursdays through Sundays
Cost: $12 for children age 1+ and adults, $11 for grandparents and seniors, and free for babies under age 1.

Henry Vilas Zoo

One of the only free zoos left in the United States, the Henry Vilas Zoo features creatures and animals from all over the world while also working to conserve and protect the natural world.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens

Owned by the City of Madison Parks Division, Olbrich Botanical Gardens is made up of 16 acres of gardens and the Bolz Conservatory. These award winning gardens are a perfect place for the family to take a break from conference activities and enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin spring weather!

University of Wisconsin Arboretum

Covering 1200 acres of grounds, the University of Wisconsin Arboretum features a wide range of ecological communities and over 17 miles of trails. The Arboretum is also home to horticultural collections, effigy mounds, and a visitor center. Another great place to enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin spring weather!

University of Wisconsin Geology Museum

A destination for all ages, the Geology Museum examines the fascinating geological history of Wisconsin! From volcanoes to coral reefs to caves to Mastodons, visitors will learn all about the natural history of Wisconsin.
